Remade T-shirt

Want to remake your old t-shirt?

I have this t-shirt for many years and love the fit of it, soo much that I wanted to recreate the same in a different colour.

Pattern: There are many ways to clone your garment, but the most straight forward and fault-proof method for me is to measure the garment first, then trace it over on paper. I made my sleeve length slightly longer than the original, as an update.

Binding: To finish the neckline, I used self-fabric cut on the bias. The length for the binding is +3cm longer than the front/back neckline and depth 3cm. This excess fabric will be cut off, however, it’s always best to have the binding slightly longer to finish the neckline. You will use one binding piece for the front and one for the back. Then turn the binding inside and finish the edge with a twin needle stitch.

Ice tie-dye: The garment was first washed before dying into different blue and purple colours, to create a spiral tie-dye effect. I used the ice tie-dye method, as it creates this beautiful dye effect.
